Robert "Bump" Wilcox
Lives in: Marblehead, MA
Prior to starting New Wave Yachts with Parker Harrison in 1990, Bump worked at Baltic Yachts for several months in 1980 and then went to work as a broker for Sailboats Northeast for ten years. He has been racing and cruising sailboats all his life.
He grew up sailing on Narragansett Bay and has owned a boat since the age of eight. An accomplished racer with an impressive list of racing finishes, Bump is currently active in PHRF New England racing. He has won the PHRF-NE championships three times, the Mass Bay championship, the San Francisco Mid-Winter Regatta aboard an Olson 29 in 1987, and placed first in his class at Key West aboard an Aerodyne 43 in 2002. His sailing dedication has earned him a spot as an officer for the PHRF-NE since 1977 and he was commodore of PHRF-NE in 1982 and 83.
After New Wave Yachts began selling Edgewaters in 1996, he has had access to powerboats and has taken advantage, going out with friends and family whenever he has the chance. While Bump considers himself a sailor first and foremost, he is excited about all kinds of boats. "If it has to do with being on the water, I want to be there."

Parker, the other founder of New Wave Yachts, has been in the boat business since 1985 when he worked as a broker for Sailboats Northeast until 1990. Prior to his career in yachts sales, he spent ten years managing stores for Eastern Mountain Sports. At New Wave Yachts, Parker works with Bump to manage the four branch offices and he coordinates promotions and marketing, including maintenance of the web site and boat show presentations.
He also has done extensive sailboat cruising throughout the Northeast, including delivery trips to and from boat shows and moving customers' boats between vacation destinations. Sabre yachts are his area of expertise; he has won the "Broker of the Year" (top producer) award five of the past six years. Parker is especially knowledgeable about all new and used Sabre yachts, from 1971 to the present, and oversees all communications and activities with the Sabre factory and staff. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, water sports, and cruising on his 18-foot Edgewater center console on the ocean and lakes of New England.

Greg is tenacious in his efforts to always provide his customers the best sales and service experience. In fact, Greg was the recipient of the prestigious 2004 Billy Martin Award – given in recognition for grit, determination, and competitiveness.
Greg's water roots come from growing up on the Finger Lakes (Keuka & Skaneateles) and Long Island Sound.

Peter van Colen has been involved with sailing and working in the boating industry since he was a teen. He graduated from Tabor Academy where he spent 3 years on their 118' topsail schooner Tabor Boy. He has sailed up and down the east coast as well as the Gulf of Mexico. He has been a navigator and watch captain on multiple offshore races including to Bermuda. He has actively raced on everything from J24's & Etchels to 50' footers.
Over the years he has worked for multiple boat building companies from CE Ryder to Concordia. He has done just about everything from basic / custom woodwork as well as fiberglass, Kevlar and Carbon. He has worked on the layup floor to the lofting floor to the naval architects desk. Peter is the grandson of Palmer Scott (one of the inventors of the fiberglass cold mold system), so you can say the marine industry is in his blood.
These days, not only does Peter sell boats for New Wave Yachts, but also he is the head 420 racing coach for the Dartmouth High School Sailing Team. Even before the kids get on the water in March, Peter has been known to frostbite on his Laser usually starting in January. From late spring to early fall you can find him cruising with his wife and daughter or racing PHRF on his and others boats on Buzzards Bay and surrounding New England waters.
